How to Find Trending Topics with Google Trends and AI
Spot rising search interest in your niche and use AI to convert raw trend data into postable video and Reel ideas fast.
Riding a topic on the way up gets you reach a saturated topic never will. Google Trends shows you what is rising in real demand, and AI turns those signals into specific, postable ideas. Together they replace guesswork with timing.
What you need
- Access to Google Trends (free, no account needed)
- Your niche and your country or region
- An AI chat tool to expand the signals into ideas
Step 1: Compare terms and read the direction
In Google Trends, enter two or three related terms from your niche and set the range to the past 90 days. You are looking for the line that is climbing, not the one that is already flat at the top. Rising slopes mean growing demand you can meet first.
Step 2: Grab the 'related rising' queries
Scroll to the Related Queries panel and switch it to Rising. These are searches growing fast right now, often breakout topics with little competition. Copy them down; they are the raw material for your next batch of content.
Step 3: Turn signals into specific ideas with AI
Paste the rising queries into your AI tool and ask it to convert each into a concrete video or Reel idea with a hook and an angle. Raw search terms are not ideas; AI bridges that gap quickly.
Here are rising Google Trends queries in the home barista niche:
- manual lever espresso
- moka pot on induction
- decaf that tastes good
For each, give me one short-form idea and one long-form idea, with
a hook line and the search intent it serves. Flag which is most
likely to break out and why.Result
You leave with a handful of timely ideas backed by real, rising demand instead of a hunch. Act on the breakout candidates quickly and you ride the topic up rather than competing on it at the top.
