How to Build a 30-Day Content Calendar with AI
Turn your channel goal into a structured month of posts with themes, hooks and formats using one AI planning session.
Consistency grows channels, and consistency comes from a plan you do not have to reinvent daily. AI is excellent at expanding a single goal into a balanced month of content with varied themes and formats. This guide builds a 30-day calendar you can actually follow.
What you need
- A clear 30-day goal (more subscribers, more saves, launch a product)
- Your three or four core content pillars
- An AI chat tool and a spreadsheet or calendar app
Step 1: Define pillars before you ask for posts
Pillars are the recurring themes your channel covers. Without them, AI produces a random grab-bag. Give it three or four pillars and it will distribute posts evenly so your feed stays coherent and your audience knows what to expect.
Goal: gain 1,000 subscribers in 30 days on a home barista channel.
Pillars: budget gear, technique tutorials, taste tests, my coffee
journey. Posting 5x/week (Mon-Fri).
Build a 30-day calendar as a table: Date | Pillar | Format
(short/long/carousel) | Working title | Hook. Spread pillars evenly
and put the strongest hooks on Mondays.Step 2: Balance formats across the week
Mixing shorts, long-form and carousels keeps production sustainable and serves different parts of the algorithm. Ask the AI to ensure no week is all long-form, which would burn you out by Wednesday.
Step 3: Move the plan into a real calendar
Paste the table into a spreadsheet or scheduling tool and add a status column. Seeing the whole month at once makes gaps obvious and lets you batch-film several posts from the same pillar in one session.
Result
You go from a single goal to a full month of planned posts with themes, formats and hooks already assigned. The hardest part of consistency, deciding what to make, is solved before the month even starts.
