How to Track Cross-Platform Performance in Publer Analytics

Read Publer's analytics to compare how the same post performed on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok in one report.

8 minIntermediate

Posting everywhere is only half the job; you need to know what worked. Publer's analytics pull engagement from each connected account into one place so you can compare a post's reach across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok side by side and decide what to make more of. This guide walks through reading and exporting that report.

What you need

  • A Publer plan that includes Analytics
  • Accounts connected with analytics permissions granted
  • At least a week of published posts to measure

Step 1: Open the Analytics tab

Click Analytics in the left menu. Pick a date range at the top and select the accounts you want to include. Publer fetches recent metrics, which can take a moment on the first load.

Step 2: Read the overview

The overview shows totals such as followers gained, post reach, and engagement, broken out per account. This is where you spot quickly that, for instance, TikTok drove most of the reach this week while Instagram drove most of the saves.

Publer - Analytics overview
Analytics Range: Jun 14 - Jun 21
---------------------------------------------------
Reach Engagement New followers
YouTube 12,400 940 +110
IG 8,100 1,520 +260
TikTok 41,300 3,880 +540
Per-account totals make platform differences obvious at a glance.

Step 3: Compare top posts

Scroll to Top posts. Publer ranks individual posts by engagement and labels each with its platform. Because you cross-posted the same video, you can find that one clip in all three lists and see exactly where it landed best.

Publer - Top posts
Top posts (by engagement)
---------------------------------------------------
1 [TT] color grading clip 3,210
2 [IG] color grading clip 870
3 [YT] color grading clip 540
The same cross-posted clip ranked per platform.

Step 4: Export a report

Use the Export button to download the report as a PDF or CSV. The PDF is handy for a client or teammate, while the CSV lets you drop the numbers into a spreadsheet and track trends across months.

Compare like with like
Reach numbers mean different things per platform. Rather than chasing the biggest absolute number, watch engagement rate (engagement divided by reach) to judge which platform truly rewards a given format.

Result

You now have one report that shows where each post performed best, which tells you which platform to prioritize and which format to repeat next week instead of guessing.
