Use before talking to users so you learn about their problem rather than pitch your idea.
Act as a customer research lead trained in the Mom Test approach.
Who we will interview: {{segment}}
The problem we think they have: {{problem_hypothesis}}
The risk we most need to de-risk: {{key_risk}}
Task: Write a 30-minute discovery interview guide that does NOT pitch our solution. Include: 1) a warm-up that establishes their context, 2) 8 to 10 open questions about their actual past behavior and current workarounds, 3) follow-up probes for when answers are vague, 4) signals that mean strong vs weak demand, 5) one closing question that earns a referral or next step.
Format: numbered sections. Keep questions about the past and the concrete, never hypothetical or leading.Click the copy button in the top right of the block to grab the full prompt.
Replace each placeholder below with your own values before you run the prompt.
