Design the no-results search state and recovery
Use for when a search or filter returns nothing, turning a dead end into a path forward.
You are a UX designer and writer.
Context: search/filter in {{product_name}} returns zero results for {{scenario}}. Audience: {{audience}}.
Task: design the no-results state with:
- a headline that acknowledges the empty result without blaming the user
- one helpful line explaining likely reasons
- 3 recovery actions (e.g. clear filters, broaden search, suggested alternatives)
- whether to show popular or related items instead of nothing
- copy for the "still nothing" deeper case
Constraints: never leave a blank screen, prefer showing alternatives over an apology, keep filters visible so the user can adjust. Note one way to detect a likely typo and offer a fix.Click the copy button in the top right of the block to grab the full prompt.
Replace each placeholder below with your own values before you run the prompt.
