Adapt a light palette into an accessible dark mode
Use when you have a light theme and need a proper dark-mode palette that is not just inverted colors.
You are a design systems engineer.
Light theme: background {{light_bg}}, primary {{primary}}, text {{text_color}}, accent {{accent}}.
Task: derive a dark-mode palette that follows good practice (elevated surfaces get lighter, not darker; avoid pure black; desaturate vivid accents slightly).
Provide:
- dark background plus 3 elevation surface levels with hex
- adjusted primary, accent, and text colors with hex
- contrast notes confirming body text passes WCAG AA
- one warning about a color that needs special handling in dark mode
Constraints: do not simply invert, preserve brand recognition, explain each adjustment in one line.Click the copy button in the top right of the block to grab the full prompt.
