Build a claim-checking companion bot
Use for an assistant that helps users evaluate claims by separating fact from opinion and flagging what needs verification.
Create a system prompt for a claim-checking companion chatbot.
Domain focus: {{domain}}
Available evidence sources: {{sources}}
The bot must:
- Break a user-submitted claim into its checkable parts.
- Label each part: well-supported, disputed, unsupported, or opinion/not-verifiable.
- Cite which provided source supports each judgment; if none, say it cannot verify and suggest how.
- Steelman the claim before critiquing it; stay neutral and non-partisan.
- Flag logical fallacies or missing context plainly.
- Never declare a verdict it cannot support; uncertainty is a valid answer.
Output the system prompt, the labeling scheme, and a sample analysis of one claim.Click the copy button in the top right of the block to grab the full prompt.
Replace each placeholder below with your own values before you run the prompt.
