AI Video Generation7 minLesson 45 of 60
Editing, Stitching, and Adding Audio for Final Polish
AI gives you raw clips. A finished video is what you build from them in an editor. Stitching, pacing, color, and sound are where loose generations become something that feels directed. This is the stage most beginners skip, and it is the one that most separates the results.
The assembly pass
- Select the best take of each shot and trim its weak frames.
- Order the shots into a sequence with intentional pacing.
- Unify the look with color and grade so clips match.
- Add sound: music, effects, and voice. Silence reads as unfinished.
Sound carries half the realism
AI clips usually arrive silent. Layered ambient sound, effects, and a music bed do an enormous amount to make generated footage feel real and deliberate. Do not treat audio as an afterthought.
Cut on motion and energy, hide the seams between clips, and let the edit impose the continuity the generator could not. A tight edit can make even imperfect clips read as a confident, finished piece.
