Editing AI Drafts for Accuracy, Voice, and E-E-A-T

Publishing a raw AI draft is the fastest way to look like everyone else and to get a fact wrong in public. The edit is where the value is added. Search engines and readers both reward content that shows real experience, expertise, authority, and trust, the qualities summarized as E-E-A-T, and a model cannot fake those for you.

The editing pass

  1. Verify every claim, statistic, and quote against a real source. Models invent these.
  2. Add first-hand experience: what you tried, what broke, what you would do differently.
  3. Cut the hedging and filler. AI prose pads; tighten it.
  4. Rewrite in your voice so it reads like a person, not a committee.
Hallucinated facts are your liability
Once you publish, a fabricated statistic or fake citation is your mistake, not the model's. Treat every confident-sounding fact in an AI draft as unverified until you have checked the source yourself.

The signal that separates content that ranks from content that gets buried is genuine, demonstrable experience. A model can structure and phrase; only you can say "I ran this for six months and here is what surprised me." Put that in, and the draft stops being generic.
