Our picks, ratings and tier lists are written first, on the merits. We do not rank a tool higher because it pays more, and a partner program is never a reason for a recommendation. When a tool we already like happens to have a referral program, we use it. When it does not, the link still works, just unmonetized.

Hardware: the Setup Advisor has Check price links that open a product search at a retailer.

Cloud GPU: for local model and data work, we link to GPU rental providers so you can rent compute instead of buying a card.

Hosting and deploy: in guides and the advisor, links to deploy platforms like Vercel and Netlify may be referral links.

Domains: links to domain registrars may be referral links.

AI tools: a tool's Visit site link may route through an affiliate link when that tool runs a program. Most do not, and those go straight to the tool.

Affiliate links open in a new tab and carry the standard sponsored and nofollow tags so search engines and screen readers can tell them apart. Near clusters of these links, such as the hardware and cloud-GPU sections of the Setup Advisor, you will also see a short inline note pointing back to this page.

An affiliate link never raises your price. In some cases a referral link gives you a small starting credit or discount instead. If a deal ever requires something of you beyond a normal signup, we will say so at the link.
